Words cannot express how happy I am with Tiger, and the team at Basco. My clutch blew in my car on the way to the airport, and I was able to get my car towed to Basco, even though I'm sure his shop was filled with other vehicles who actually booked appointments. Tiger had my car ready for me when I was back in the country, and even came in on Saturday so I could have my car for the weekend/ work on Monday. I called Subaru City for a quote for my clutch and they quoted me x2 what I paid at Basco. Great work, great service. Tiger is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles, and it clearly shows how much he enjoys what he does, with all the time and care he took in my Subaru. Feels so nice knowing I found a mechanic in the city that does great work and doesn't charge an arm & a leg. Thanks Tiger!!

Among Basco’s latest feats was the saving of pricey wheel that had corrosion on its rim. I had feared having to buy a whole new set, as the wheel is no longer available in the same design.

Always have had great service with tiger

After having issues with my loud road noise whenever going over 60 km/hr and more noticeably when on highway, I tried to get a diagnosis from Rally Subaru. 3 weeks wait (for the diagnosis). So I went to a mechanic friend and he went for test drive with me, yup, rear side passenger wheel bearings GARANTEED!! Upon hearing this, my uncle who does a lot of vehicle maintenance said he could do it for me and that it would be an "easy job". After taking the vehicle away for 3 days, he returned it to me indicating that the wheel bearing was seized and could not come off, he would try again next week when he was in town. I was not able to sleep thinking about the half finished job that was done. Going without a vehicle and very concerned about the work performed, I asked a co-worker and he recommended Basco to me over the weekend. As they were not open during the weekend, I called them first thing Monday morning, and lucky for me, Tiger picked up the phone before he was open (they open at 9 am and I called at 8:20 am). I described the problem to him over the phone and the first thing Tiger asked was "who diagnosed this? we don't want to work on items that are not verified by us as you may be paying for unnecessary work or missed other items." Anyways, long story short, I was able to drop off the vehicle at Basco and he put it on a hoist immediately. He showed me exactly what he found (wobbling tire which could be the result of the home job and whatever damage was there previously) and how much it would cost. Later during the day, he also informed me of the extra due to a speed sensor that was damaged. There was extra costs and of course, that could not be verified prior to removing the wheel bearings. It was a minor cost addition in my mind. Got my vehicle back later that day and it spins like a top. No more road noise and smooth sailing. What is impressive is the level of communication at this shop and they are not shy to bring you to the back and explain everything to you. Show and tell "Basco Style". Don't trust all reviews and try it for yourself.. A mechanic is like having a good doctor for your car, if you can't trust them, don't use them. Thank you Tiger and team, I will be recommending your shop to all of my co-workers. Fingers crossed that I don't need your services any time soon.

Tiger (owner) and Adrian (service manager) are a dynamic duo. If you have a question, they have the answer. If they don't know for sure, they'll get the answer for you and call you back. Plus, they explore alternative methods when repairs are needed -' it isn't an automatic 'you need a new part'. Having a VW and being a senior, they have had my back and my wallet in mind at all times. Vicky (my VW) and I feel very privileged to have these two knowledgeable and ethical gentlemen on my team.
